LOCATION: Tulsa, OK
DESCRIPTION: Responsible for understanding the entire area or product groups within their value stream and drive continual improvement through the company. Collaborate with management to allow for continuous manufacturing flow. Supervises, coordinates and assigns tasks to workers who perform repetitive work operations to manufacture product in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications, or other forms of instruction. The Value Stream Supervisor is responsible for leading, directing and/or approving the work of employees in the area. Responsible for interviewing, hiring and training employees.
Essential Job Functions:
This position is responsible for all of the following:
:Maintain high level of visibility with employees & use hands-on approach to communicate daily & involve employees in problem solving.
:Review general status of production schedules to identify and resolve problems.
:Excellent proficiency in all "company" products techniques and functions.
:Overseeing functions to ensure quality of finished product.
:Lead and facilitate kaizen events.
:Build a highly skilled, highly regarded and highly motivated customer focused team.
:Conducting daily start-up (communication) meetings with assigned team members.
:Interpretation of mechanical drawings.
:Ability to read and interpret conventional and precision measuring instruments.
:Liaison between departments to ensure efficiency of work flow.
:Safe and appropriate operation of any equipment needed to perform job.
:Determining scheduling needs of department, including overtime requirements.
:Assisting with establishment of quality assurance programs.
:Maintaining a clean and safe work area.
:Maintenance of equipment.
:Other tasks or duties as may be assigned by Management.?
:Establish priorities of materials, labor & hours with availability of goods in order to meet production schedule.
:Troubleshoot problem areas.
:Attention to detail
:Regular contact with all levels of personnel throughout the organization
:Follow all safety policies and procedures
EXPERIENCE: :Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals).
:2 to 4 years of supervisory experience (manufacturing environment preferred)
:2 to 4 years of experience in mechanical assembly or related field.
:Solid understanding of product function (air, hydraulics, mechanical parts).
:Complete understanding of the total build process.
:Valid driver's license.
EDUCATION: :High school diploma (or successful completion of equivalency)
