DESCRIPTION: The Sales Operations Director will play a key role in directing the field sales teams toward strategic goals and operational effectiveness in order to meet revenue, operational and strategic goals. Qualified candidates will have experience building and scaling Sales Operations in a high growth environment, and a reputation for collaboration and teamwork. Key tenets and scope of the role include strategy, execution and leadership in the following key field areas: Business Models, Coverage, Compensation, and Pipeline/Forecast management.
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide leadership in sales organization, and counsel to several leadership for all company brands in implementing sales organization objectives that appropriately reflect each brand's business goals.
Partner with senior sales leadership to identify opportunities for sales process improvement. Facilitate successful implementation of new programs through the sales organization by ensuring a well-defined, efficient sales process is in place for launch. Fosters an organization of continuous process improvement
Select and manage technology to support the sales process.
Manage and lead a team of sales operations professionals, including hiring, development, and oversight of team and individual initiatives.
Facilitate successful implementation and adoption of new processes within the field organizations.
Maintain and modify sales territories. Comprehensive analysis of territories, driving territory alignment decisions and policies.
Design, implement, and manage sales forecasting, territory planning, and budgeting processes.
Design, implement and manage sales forecasting processes that provide accurate prediction into future revenue performance.
Ensure forecasting efforts are appropriately integrated with other planning processes within the company.
Ensure system tools accurately represent sales information and are effectively utilized by field sales to manage opportunities and provide information about the status of the business.
Identify areas for improvement and cost savings as well as risks to meeting planned forecast in revenues or expenses.
Establish and implement performance measures designed to track and report progress against the global sales strategy.
EXPERIENCE: 8-10 years' experience in Sales Operations, with prior experience on a sales leadership team.
Experience working with Sales, Operations, Finance, and Marketing.
Superior analytical skills (prior role as Sales or Financial analyst preferred).
Experience with start-ups and emerging organizations.
EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree required, MBA preferred
