DESCRIPTION: The Creative Manager is a design leader and brand steward,
whose high standards and broad, conceptual thinking inspires
creative excellence. The Creative Manager leads creative teams
in developing and maintaining the look and feel for the
Company brand. They lead cross-functional teams to develop
strategic and compelling marketing campaigns that embody the
brand look & feel and achieve marketing objectives.
The Creative Manager is an expert in branding, print & digital
advertising and social media and adapts the message to fit the
unique requirements of each marketing channel.
The Creative Manager reports to the Creative Director,
Company, within Marketing and works closely with a number of
cross-functional partners from Creative, Marketing, eCommerce
and Merchandising to ensure a superior guest experience
through clear, concise and compelling advertising and
: Directs visual solutions to promote marketing objectives, drive
sales and position Company as the authority on babies. Directs
a high standard of quality via brand standards and design
guidelines. Leads, inspires and motivates team to drive creative
excellence, innovation and results to meet productivity
standards and maintain high morale. Provides meaningful, clear
art direction and feedback to achieve marketing objectives.
: Collaborate with marketing & merchandising teams and
creative partners in Copy, Photography and Company design to
develop strategies, deliver fresh creative/marketing solutions
and build strong partnerships. Presents creative to senior
management, effectively communicating strategies and
concepts to gain support.
: Manage staff and freelance designers, ensures accountability
in meeting production milestones and review stages. Identifies
and removes obstacles, adjusts workload and assignments to
accommodate changing business needs. Manages outside labor
costs, providing accurate estimates based on current workload
and prior year expenditures, and provides regular updates.
Evaluates ongoing organizational needs, structure and workflow
for rapidly changing company needs.
: Cultivates talent and develops leadership succession plan.
Recruits talented, collaborative, high-performing designers that
deliver strong, brand-right solutions. Maintains expert level
knowledge in current and emerging media channels, design
trends and technical applications.
EXPERIENCE: 8+ years of relevant experience in retail advertising, children's
editorial design, or advertising agency
3+ years of management experience preferred
