LOCATION: Pittsburgh, PA
The Corporate Tax Specialist manages and overseas all corporate income tax related responsibilities for this company in the United States including income tax compliance, accounting and reporting, and support for tax controversy. This individual will contribute to global decision making and US tax planning.
More specifically, this position will be responsible for:
Research and document tax risks and opportunities and investigate the tax impact of this company's US business decisions, including potential M&A and expansion activities.
Management of quarterly and year-end tax accounting and closing process including coordination with local accounting, global teams, and financial statement auditors
Manage the accurate and timely preparation of federal, state and local income and franchise tax returns for this company and its affiliates in the Unites States.
Management and implementation of integrated, automated and efficient tax compliance and accounting process and procedures.
Provide mentorship to other team members
5-10 years of professional experience in income tax compliance, accounting and planning.
1. Significant practical experience with multistate and consolidated corporate income tax compliance
2. Strong experience performing income tax accounting (IAS 12 and ASC 740) preparation, and review
3. In-depth practical knowledge of corporate tax law and regulations and understanding of transfer pricing practices and policies
4. Diverse corporate income tax client experience with Big 4, or Global Accounting Firm
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or other closely related field Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or other closely related field
Master's degree in taxation and/or business administration preferred
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
