DESCRIPTION:
This is an unparalleled opportunity for a strong, confident, and resilient leader to serve as the Director of Regional Operations in Quality Management. The Director will be responsible for strategic leadership and overall successful operation on behalf of the Executive, Oregon Region Quality Management and Medical Staff Services (ORQMMSS). Additional responsibilities include:
:Provide guidance to strategic planning, prioritization, and development of operational initiatives, implementation, and evaluation of initiatives and projects to ensure effective use of resources.
:Serve to coordinate the activities within the Division in all domains, including Accreditation, Infection Prevention, Patient Safety, Quality/Risk/Medical Staff Services, Utilization Management, and Clinical Documentation Improvement.
:Represent regional leadership to engage management and staff to work together to improve the quality, reliability, and safety of patient care.
:Serve as liaison to external agencies such as the Joint Commission, Livanta, Oregon Health Authority, and the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
:Provide leadership to and management of the Linguistics/ ADA Program Manager and on call staff for Quality Management/Medical Staff (QM/MS).
:Provide direct mentoring and training for the QM/MS Services Directors and members of their teams, the Clinical Project Managers, and the Clinical Data Abstractor Team.
EXPERIENCE:
10 years of hospital experience, including knowledge of management principles, facilitation and project management
5 years of leadership experience in Quality Management/Medical Staff Organizations.
5 years of healthcare management experience in a multi facility health system with leadership roles in Medical Staff/Physician Organizations and Quality/Risk Management
Current, unencumbered license as Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Oregon
Planning and budgeting skills
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality or Certified Joint Commission Professional
EDUCATION: Bachelor of science in nursing (BSN) and Masters' Degree in Nursing, Hospital -or- Business Administration
